Community Guidelines
Last updated: September 11, 2026
Evernest exists to help families preserve and share real memories. These guidelines apply to everyone who uses Evernest — account holders and guest contributors alike.
Treat People With Respect
- Share memories and messages honestly — don't impersonate someone else or misrepresent who contributed something.
- Respect the people a memory is shared with, including anyone who receives a time-locked Echo.
- Don't use Evernest to harass, threaten, or demean anyone, inside or outside your Family Circle.
What Not to Post
Don't upload or share content that:
- Is illegal, or promotes illegal activity.
- Is hateful, discriminatory, or sexually exploitative.
- Contains malware, scams, or fraudulent information.
- Violates someone else's privacy, or copyright and other legal rights.
- You don't have the right to share.
Family Circles
A Family Circle is a space built on trust. Only invite people you genuinely want to share memories with, and respect a family owner's and member's decisions about what gets shared and with whom. Removing or being removed from a Family Circle is handled carefully by Evernest so existing shared memories aren't silently destroyed — see our Data Retention Policy.
Guest Contributions
Guests contributing to a Memory Collection without an Evernest account follow our Guest Contribution Terms, and any submitted content is still covered by these guidelines.
Reporting and Enforcement
If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines, report it using the Report option in Evernest or email legal@evernestmemories.com. Depending on the situation, Evernest may remove content, restrict a feature, revoke a guest invitation, or take other action proportionate to the issue. For an urgent threat to someone's immediate safety, contact local emergency services rather than relying on Evernest's reporting system.
