Subscription Terms
Last updated: September 11, 2026
Evernest offers a free Starter plan and paid plans (Individual, Family, and Family Premium) with higher member and storage limits. This page explains how billing, changes, and cancellation work.
Billing
- Paid plans are billed either monthly or annually, at the price and interval shown when you subscribe.
- On the web, payment is processed by Stripe. On iOS and Android, payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, under their respective subscription terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled beforehand.
Upgrading, Downgrading, and Canceling
- An upgrade to a higher plan takes effect immediately; the price difference is charged right away.
- A downgrade to a lower plan (or cancellation to Starter) takes effect at the end of your current billing period, not immediately — you keep your current plan's benefits until then.
- If you're already over a lower plan's member or storage limit once a downgrade takes effect, nothing existing is deleted. Your current members and content stay exactly as they are; you simply can't add new members or upload new content until you're back under the limit or upgrade again.
- You can cancel a scheduled downgrade before it takes effect from Settings → Plan & usage.
- Canceling your subscription entirely does not delete your account, memories, or Echoes — see our Data Retention Policy for what deleting your account (a separate, deliberate action) does.
If a Payment Fails
If a renewal payment fails, we'll email you and show a notice in the app explaining what happened and how to update your payment method. Your memories and Echoes are never deleted or hidden because of a failed payment. If the payment method isn't updated, your subscription may eventually be canceled and your plan reverted to Starter at the end of the current period, following the same no-deletion handling as any other downgrade.
Refunds
Refund requests for web (Stripe) subscriptions can be sent to support@evernestmemories.com and are handled case by case. Subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are refunded according to that store's own policies — Evernest cannot issue refunds for purchases made through them directly.
Guest Passes
Guest Passes are a one-time purchase that let a Guest Memory Collection accept more contributors than your plan's default allowance. They don't expire on their own, but unused Guest Passes are forfeited (without a refund) if you delete your Evernest account.
Taxes
Prices shown may not include applicable taxes, which are calculated and added at checkout where required by law.
