Privacy Notice for Guest Contributors

When you contribute a memory through an Evernest guest invitation, Evernest may collect information necessary to receive, protect, and deliver your contribution.
Information We May Collect
Depending on what you provide, we may collect:
- Your name.
- Your relationship to the recipient.
- Your text message.
- Photos you upload.
- Audio recordings.
- Video recordings.
- Your email address, if requested or provided.
- Basic technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, timestamps, and security logs.
Why We Use This Information
We use this information to:
- Receive and store your contribution.
- Deliver your contribution to the intended Evernest organizer or recipient.
- Protect Evernest against spam, fraud, abuse, and unauthorized activity.
- Investigate reported content.
- Operate, secure, and improve the service.
- Meet legal obligations when required.
Who Can See Your Contribution
Your contribution may be visible to the organizer of the Evernest collection and, depending on how that collection is configured, the intended recipient or authorized family members.
A guest invitation does not give you access to other private memories in the collection.
How Long We Keep Guest Contributions
- If a contribution is accepted, it may remain in the recipient's Evernest collection until the organizer or authorized user removes it, the account is deleted, or retention is otherwise required by law.
- If a contribution is rejected, Evernest may retain it for up to 30 days for operational, security, recovery, and abuse-review purposes before deletion.
- Certain limited security or audit information may be retained longer when reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, dispute handling, or legal compliance.
Deleting or Correcting Your Information
Because guest contributors do not have Evernest accounts, you may not have a self-service deletion option.
You may contact privacy@evernestmemories.com. Please provide enough information for us to locate the contribution, such as your name, approximate submission date, and the person or collection you contributed to. We may need to verify your request before making changes.
Security
Evernest uses technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect guest contributions and personal information. However, no online storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security.
